Abstract: 本研究では,精神看護学実習における学生の学びや満足感,自分自身の変化・成長などの実習 に関する意識を調査し,検討することを目的とした。 対象は,国内の看護系大学のうち,ランダムに選択された14校の学生635名とその大学の精神 看護学専任教員で,290名の学生と10校の教員からの回答が得られた。 調査の結果,学生は精神看護学実習において患者とのコミュニケーションを主として学んでい た。また,実習後の自分自身の変化として精神障害者への偏見・差別の軽減,さらに今後自分自 身が看護者として成長するにあたって,患者とのコミュニケーションの方法,患者・家族の心理 の理解が実習での学習内容として必要であると認識していた。これらは,77.3%の学生が実習に 満足したと回答している_ことに関連していると考えられた。そして,この調査では,学生がコミュ ニケーション等の学びを深めるために,精神障害者への偏見等を軽減すること,教員の実習への かかわりを工夫することが必要であると示唆された。
Abstract-Alternative: The purpose of this survey was to investigate BS students' awareness of the significance of clinical practice on psychiatric units with regard to their learning of psychiatric and mental health nursing. Mail questionnaires were sent to 635 Students of 14 randomly selected baccalaureate programs of nursing who had Completed the it practica.Two hundred and ninety students (45.7%) returned the questionnaire. We also collected faculty's comments on clinical instruction from 10 programs of the sample. Students responded that the main content they learned from the practice was communication skills with psychotic patients.They also recognized that their attitudes toward the mentally ill and psychiatric treatment were less stigmatizing after the practice.They expressed that communication skills and ability to understand the client and family were significant in order to be a professional nurse. The majority of the respondents (77.3%) were satisfied with their experiences in the psychiatric nursing practice although their leaning conditions such as the clinical settings, the ratio of students and instructors, the length of period of practice,etc.were quite various according to the curriculum. It appeared that psychiatric nursing practice itself is important for students in their education, and we need to improve clinical in- struction strategies and learning environments.
